About Warren Wilson
You will be treated by Warren Wilson, an Acupuncturist and practitioner of East Asian Medicine with a wealth of clinical experience. Warren graduated from Brisbane College of Traditional Acupuncture with a degree in Acupuncture and diplomas in Herbal Medicine and Chinese Massage in 1986.
Warren went to East Asia in 1987 to continue his studies in all aspects of East Asian Medicine.
In Korea, he trained under Dr Oh Soo Il, a highly regarded Doctor of Korean Traditional Medicine for a period of 7 years. He also trained under Yang Yohan, a Qi Gong and Taoist meditation master for a period of 6 years. In Japan, Warren trained in Zen Shiatsu with the renowned Takeo Suzuki for a period of 18 months. Warren also completed some intensive acupuncture training in Nanning, China ,during his time in East Asia.
Warren has studied with some of East Asian Medicine’s most esteemed practitioners over the past 30 years, including Kiiko Matsumoto, Tsuyoshi Shimamura and Masaaki Nakano. All of these teachers have been greatly influenced by Master Nagano, a renowned Acupuncturist from Japan, with phenomenal diagnostic and treatment skills. Master Nagano studied the Chinese Classics in Acupuncture theory and clinical application, so the roots of Japanese Acupuncture are embedded in Classical Chinese traditions.
Warren continues to refine his skills in these traditions and in so doing gaining deeper insights into this unique healing art.
Warren returned to Sydney from his studies in Korea and Japan, in 1997, and opened an East Asian Medicine practice in Gordon (Acupuncture Synergy Health), on Sydney’s North Shore. He worked at Acupuncture Synergy Health until October of 2023.
Warren then made the move to Hobart in December of 2023 with his wife. He has recently relocated Acupuncture Synergy Health to a clinic space in Beach Road, Body and Mind, (a health centre) in Sandy Bay.
